The Big Four are the four largest professional services networks in the world, offering audit, assurance services, taxation, management consulting, advisory, actuarial, corporate finance and legal services. They handle the vast majority of audits for public companies as well as many private companies.

 

1. Deloitte has reported annual revenue of $43.2 bn globally for the year-end 2018 (in 2017 it was $38.8 bn), total employes of 263,900

 

2. PWC has reported annual revenue of $41.3 bn globally for the year-end 2018 (in 2017 it was $37.7 bn), total employes of 236,235

 

3. Ernst & Young (EY) has reported annual revenue of $37.8 bn globally for the year-end 2018 (in 2017 it was $31.4 bn), total employes of 247,570

 

4. KPMG has reported annual revenue of $28.9 bn globally for the year-end 2018 (in 2017 it was $26.4 bn), total employes of 197,263

 

Deloitte, PWC and EY are headquartered in the United Kingdom (UK), while KPMG has the headquarter in the Netherlands.

 

Two of the Big-Four firms have come up in the top 25 companies to work for list during 2018:

 

  • EY is on the number 10th position
  • Deloitte on the 13th position

In the past, all the Big Four firms have appeared on Europe's Most Attractive Business Employers list.
